Sandra Lourenço
Sandra Lourenço was born in Lisbon (1971). In the early 90s, studied photography at Ar.Co and, in 1996, graduated in Advertising from IADE. Between 1997 and 2011 lived in Barcelona where she expanded her academic studies, obtaining a master’s degree in Audiovisual Communication from de Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona. During these period, participated in several individual and collective exhibitions, in which explored different image transfer, stamping and direct printing techniques on different types of media.
She currently lives in Lisbon and, over the last few years, has been focusing on wood printing work, technique that started to make sense in some projects since her artistic
universe is set in the forest. Recently she has also been exploring the video format and regularly collaborates in transdisciplinary projects, particularly in the area of ceramics, with interventions in author's pieces and performative actions around paper-clay kilns.
