Saionara Dreyer
Saionara Dreyer was born in Brazil (1964) and has lived and worked in Lisbon since 2012. Her abstract painting and drawing practice is non‑figurative and non‑representational. She combines geometry with colour and with the simple, universal forms of the square, the circle and the triangle. She develops small series in which colour submits to geometric rhythm. Saionara Dreyer approaches abstract art as a form of subordination to geometry, though without strictness, seeking a poetics in the precision of form and in the time of contemplation, in a search for interaction with the viewer’s perception.
