Simão Palmeirim
Simão Palmeirim completed his BA in Painting at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon in 2007, his Master’s degree in Fine Arts at Central Saint Martins, London, in 2009, and his PhD in Art Sciences at FBAUL in 2016.
A professor, cultural mediator, and independent curator, he is responsible for multiple scientific production and dissemination initiatives.
His research explores the relationship between literature and the visual arts within Portuguese modernism, as well as artistic theory and practice in the field of geometric abstraction, with a particular focus on the work of Almada Negreiros. He is a permanent Auxiliary Researcher at NOVA FCSH.
