Ike Ferreira

Ike Ferreira

Born in São Paulo, Brazil (1982), Ike Ferreira holds a degree in Architecture and Urbanism at FAAP. During his academic years, he was awarded first place in the group competition representing the university at the 6th International School Competition of the 6th International Architecture Biennial of São Paulo (2005), a distinction that marked the early recognition of his visual and spatial sensibility.

In 2006, he moved to Brisbane, Australia, to deepen his studies in Photography and Architecture at the Queensland University of Technology (QUT). After graduating from FAAP in 2008, he worked in architecture until 2015, collaborating with some of the world’s leading architectural firms as well as smaller studios, experiences that shaped his understanding of space, structure, and human behaviour.

Since 2016, in pursuit of his passion for art, he decided to make it his main activity when moving from São
Paulo to Lisbon.

His work uses painting and photography as his primary artistic mediums and explores the relationships between
human beings and space through emotions, gestures, and images captured in everyday life, this creating a
profound visual impact and an emotional connection with the audience.
